Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Another Pretty Good Review Of The Chuwi LapBook Air

By Tim

I am a huge fan of the notebook in this review and I will eventually be purchasing one. This review comes to us from Linus on the TechLineHD channel on YouTube.

He seems to be a very honest and straightforward reviewer and does point out the shortcoming of the device as well as all the reasons you might want to get your hands on one of these.

This notebook is still on sale at Banggood for roughly $380 so make sure to visit their site to see current pricing.

Be aware this is not a Dell or HP or Lenovo, but also be aware that the money you would save for a useful notebook over those high-end brands can get you a 256 GB SSD and perhaps a few hundred more in gasoline to fuel your car to get to work each day.

As I always try to do when sharing a video, I recommend this channel and I would highly suggest subscribing if you like this kind of tech info that is darned honest and gets to the point without the frills.

So all of that being said below you will find the video.

That is all for now,

Tim

New Video: Figuring Out Connection Timed Out Errors, No Joy So Far

By Tim

So for the last few weeks I keep getting blocked from my sites here. At first I thought it was AT&T since that is my only home connection, but lately I am getting the same issue using Mediacom cable at work.

So this is not strictly a DNS or routing issue. The only real cure to get connected again is to either use a VPN which works easily, or reboot either the router at work or the phone at home. Neither of which are a viable alternative.

I honestly do not have a clue as to why this issue is occurring, but it is damned annoying! So below you will find the video I shot to demonstrate this issue and show you exactly what is happening.

Any comments or feedback are appreciated! Just don’t spam the site here with your comments, just leave a tech tip or register and then post a comment. As usual, we are still looking for donations to get cable into the apartment here so I can begin hosting tabletserver.com on a tablet or other local device again! So below is the link to our PayPal donations page, followed by the video!

Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: The Dell XPS 13 (2018) Notebook Full Review

By Tim

Tonight’s video comes to us from Andrew over at AMDTech and covers, in detail, the new Dell XPS 13 that was just released.

The new model is thinner and lighter than last year’s version and in the case of this review comes with a 4K display.

Of course that thinner, lighter stuff means less  space to cram stuff under the hood. So the battery is a bit smaller and gone is a full size SD card slot and also gone are the full size USB ports.

On the other hand we get 3 USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports and we at least get a USB-C to full size USB adapter dongle in the box.

We have an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and 8 GB of RAM along with a relatively quick 256 GB SSD.

So all the above being said, check out the video, subscribe to Andrew’s channel if you like this tech stuff and want honest reviews.

That is all for now,

Tim

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Chuwi Hi9 Tablet, Unboxing And Review

By Tim

This video covers the new Chuwi Hi9 tablet. This is an 8.4 inch hi-res display tablet that is very light and offers decent but not great specs.

This one comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and points out the shortcomings on this device.

In no way is this a bad tablet, there are just others you might want to consider in this price range which is currently at $180.

This is probably a good tablet for gaming and video consumption, but do not expect much usefulness from the cameras nor from the battery.

So all that being said, let us proceed right to the video.

This tablet is available currently from Banggood.com at $179.99.

That is all for now,

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Another Unboxing And First Impressions of the Teclast F6 Pro

By Tim

Just a day or so ago I posted a video from Andrew on this convertible notebook and he was quite positive in his initial impressions. This one comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and is also quite positive.

This one so far is a pretty nice convertible at a relatively decent price. Currently only $499 on Gearbest.

The basics are as follows:

  • Intel Core M3-7Y30 processor
  • 13.3 inch FHD Touch Panel
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 128 GB SSD (upgradeable)
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • 360 degree rotating display

This of course ins’t really intended to be used as a tablet all that often due to its weight, but being able to set it up in presentation mode it could be a nice video consumption machine.

So let us get right to that video.

This product is currently on a flash sale at Gearbest, so keep an eye on those prices, but I don’t see it getting much cheaper than the current $499.

That is all for now,

Tim
