Like we already know, there’s some products like the Google Project Tango Tablet that allow the users to capture the environment in 3D high-resolution images. Today, we get to know that a similar product developed by Mantis Vision and Flextronic can do the same thing, device named Aquila.
Among its specs, we find a 8-inch Full HD display (1.920 x 1.080 pixels), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and dual-image sensors on the back. This tablet can capture a 3D representation of the environment by using regular color footage and infrared depth data in the same time.
We get to know the fact that Aquila is targeting software makers who want to develop into three dimensions with the hope that the M4VD system will become a standard for everyone who works with it. This tablet will be available for a $925 price tag only at the Qualcomm’s Uplinq conference, while the regular consumers have to wait until next year to buy it.
