Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 just got certified again, this time in Russia, showing it’s one step closer to launch. The device was already certified by the WiFi Alliance and was also listed on GFXBench at some point. Let’s see what we know.
I find it interesting that Samsung and Russia have a special relationship, since I’ve seen a bunch of phones and devices launched there are as a premiere for some reason. The Galaxy Tab S4 may have the same fate. This time the slate has been certified by the Russian telecom commission, the EEC. We see two model numbers, SM-T835, the Tab S4 and also a mystery model, a SM-T595.
That one may well be a new Galaxy Tab A or Galaxy Tab E. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is speculated to have a 10.5 inch 2560 x 1600 pixel display with a 16:10 aspect and a Super AMOLED panel. Inside we find a Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4 GB of RAM and a 12 MP main camera and an 8 MP front shooter. The battery should be a 6000 mAh unit. No price yet, but I suspect it’s over $400.
Android Oreo is obviously preinstalled, with the latest Samsung Experience and a new pen and keyboard are totally likely. I’m surprised there’s no 8 inch version coming… at first sight at least.
