Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Innovation Versus Stagnation – The Vivo NEX S Smartphone

By Tim

Tonight’s Video is about engineering and innovation, versus stagnation and copycatting! As we all know the notch, while not introduced by Apple, has certainly become popular due to their use of it. It is one of the worst ideas ever to make a smartphone larger because of the loss of a full 1/3 section of the middle of the top of the screen.
Enter Vivo, one of several companies doing engineering and innovating and not being a follower but rather a leader.
So watch the videos I mentioned in the video here and reach your own conclusions. (They will be linked a few paragraphs down.)

The Vivo NEX S gives us proof that with a bit of engineering and innovation we can lose the notch, have super small bezels and not follow the path of Crapple, err, Apple. The phone has bleeding edge tech and great specs and the list below covers only the basics. Suffice to say the in-screen fingerprint reader and the screen that acts as an earpiece are very slick. As is the pop-up selfie camera!

Basic specs:

Second Video Worh Sharing Today: Reviewers I Trust, How To Get On The List

By Tim

When it is stupid hot outside, well, then I stay inside and create another video. This one covers how the 6 reviewers that I trust made the list.

The basics are pretty simple, so I am not going to waste time typing them in after spending several hours doing the video which can be much more expansive than my typing.

So this post will be rather short, but if you know of a tech reviewer I should have on my list go to the video on YouTube and leave a link to their channel. I will check them out!

As usual please check out our channel for some good tech info and the occasional odyssey into making old machines live again 10 years after they were obsolete.

The video is linked below and below that I have linked the playlist of all 6 reviewers I trust videos.

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: A Recap of The Last Week of Videos on High End Cheap Tech

By Tim

So last night I did a recap video of what we had put on the new channel in the last 10 days or so. Nothing special here if you happen to already be a subscriber, but if not, it will give you the general feel of what we are trying to do with the channel right now.

The video ended up being far more complex to edit than I first intended when I decided to shoot an intro with me doing the intro. When I finally got that right I was then tasked with re-editing the entire project, to slip the video on at the beginning. Then as usual I had to break it down from a 451 MB video down to 45 MB video using Handbrake. So it ended up being after 3 am and I decided to write this post up when I awakened today.

So let us get to that video, make sure to subscribe to the channel and be sure to leave comments on the YouTube site.

Today’s First Video Worth Posting: Put A Case On That Phone!

By Tim

This is one we just posted on YouTube less than an hour ago. I sort of go over the reasons why you should slap a case, any case, onto that new overpriced smartphone you just bought.

All too often the reviewers out there will mention the phone comes with a case and toss it aside during unboxing, rather than putting it on right then and there and stressing the fact that even a cheap TPU case will minimize damage.

So obviously this is from our channel here and make sure to like the video and subscribe!

Okay, not much else to say, so let us get right to that video!
