Today’s Second Video Worth Sharing: Review of the 14 Inch Teclast F7 Notebook!

By Tim

This one is a fairly decent notebook, the Teclast F7, 14 inch from Gearbest and it really is a decent device. Display is good and the M2 SSD slot allows for easy storage expansion.

This one is courtesy of Andrew over at AMDTech and he really likes this notebook/laptop.

It is powered by the Intel Apollo Lake N3450 Celeron processor and has a decent 6 GB of RAM.  The display is very good with a 1920 x1080 IPS screen. The specs on the Gearbest website are a bit confusing, but the actual storage is 128 GB eMMC and it has the M2 SSD slot for storage expansion.

Are there better budget laptops/notebooks? Yes, but for the price, under $300, this one is solid!

So let us get right to that video and remember to subscribe to Andrew’s channel if you like this type of content!

This product is current available from Gearbest at $299.99.

That is all for now, except to ask everyone to visit my new YouTube Channel or donate!

Today’s First Video Worth Sharing: AllDoCube X1 Tablet/Phone

By Tim

Yes folks, this tablet is an 8.4 inch device that can actually be used as a phone. The device has some flaws and some great features which will be covered by Chris from TechTablets in the video below.

Andrew over at AMDTech brought us a similar unboxing and review about a week ago.

The tablet has the following specs:

  • Android 7.1 OS
  • 8.4 inch IPS 2560 x 1600 display
  • Helio X20 deca Core processor
  • Mali – T880 700MHz GPU
  • 64 GB ROM
  • Dual Sim or Sim and microSD card
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless internet
  • 13 mp rear and 8 mp front cameras
  • Battery: 4500mAh,

This is probably not the device you want to purchase if you want to play games or listen to music, but for basic surfing or using it with Bluetooth headsets it ought to get the job done. Plus it is, after all, a huge phone also!

So let us get right to the video, after once again mentioning to visit and subscribe to the TechTablets channel if you like these sort of honest, nit-picky ,(that is a good thing), reviews.

This device is currently available from Gearbest at $273.

That is all for now, please donate to the site or check out my YouTube channel!

Another High End-Cheap Tech Video: This One Covers How I do Stuff At Work!

By Tim

Tonight we have another video from your’s truly and it covers how I get stuff done at work. I actually did this for our dealership channel but added a small preface to explain why I am sharing it here and on my new YouTube Channel.

It is pretty basic and straight to the point. Bottom line is you can use older gear and get the job done and it will look alright!

There really isn’t a lot to explain here before the video, although it was all done on on my Zotac Ci323, supposedly inferior Nano-Box PC.

So let us get right to the video, because I am sure you are on pins and needles…..okay, probably not, but watch it and visit the Channel and look at the links to where I work and check them out also! You will also find them at the end of this post.

So without further rambling, here is the video!

That is all for tonight,

Tim

This Morning’s Video Worth Sharing: Totally Free Video and Image Editing Software That You Should Try!

By Tim

If you want to edit images, let’s face it, most programs/apps out there have severe limitations, however, if you want to learn new things and actually expand your horizons, the 2 programs I  did a video on tonight might be your ticket!

No, they do not compete with top-tier software nor are they super slick, but they get the job done and that is what we concentrate on here.

The bonus is they run on older hardware like my Hi12 and the HiBook. You do not need the latest Intel Core i7-xxxx and 16 gb of RAM to run them.

The video below was shot on the Zotac Ci323 and edited on the same machine, yes an Intel N3150 quad core Celeron with 8GB RAM.

The programs or apps as we have now been trained to say, are the GIMP and OpenShot. Both are totally free and work well and can get the basics done and might even surprise many folks!

The Gimp is available at this link and Openshot can be found right here!

As usual, please like the video, subscribe to the channel, leave a comment!

That is all for now, hopefully this will post up properly at the time I have scheduled it for…automation is great, but one never knows,

Does Your Track Pad Suck? A Little Common Sense Such As Using A Cheap Wireless Mouse Is The Answer!

By Tim

Whether you are using a Cheap Tech Notebook/Laptop or even a few of the High End devices available these days a crap track pad might be a royal pain in the butt.

However, for most of us a simple dirt cheap mouse might be the answer! The track pad itself was mostly designed for situations where you simply didn’t have access to a mouse or other pointing device. A mouse is also a superior pointing device on any larger tablet!

Personally I detest a track pad, unless I am somewhere where that is all I have at hand. But you can find a mouse that will solve most of your issues with a bad track pad for a few bucks. So do not let a reviewer turn you off to a laptop/notebook because the track pad sucks. Take it in context and imagine how rarely you might use this part of the device, especially if you have a handy wireless mouse  around.

All the above being said it is time for the video!

That is all I have for this evening,

Tim
