Today’s First Video Worth Sharing: The Vivo Apex Bezeless Phone! Only A Concept, But Slick!

By Tim

Today we have a short video from Lew over at Unbox Therapy that is actually worth sharing. Now I watch his channel all the time but for the most part it is a bit too commercial and shows far too many high end products that do not fit into the purpose of this website.

However, once in a while he gets his hands on a concept phone or device and it is absolutely worth a look!

This is one of those times. The Vivo Apex is a concept phone, with a decent display, and 2 very slick features. The first being a bezel free design that does not have a notch but yet still provides a front facing camera! Yeah, watch the video to see that cool feature, suffice to say it is hidden until needed.

The second feature is a behind the display fingerprint sensor that is absolutely huge! In other words, it is super easy to just hit the area which is roughly one third of the phone’s display and boom!, you are unlocked!

So let us get to the video right now!

That is all for this time, please make sure to donate to help keep this site online!

Tonight’s Second Video Worth Posting: The ViVo X21, With Under Screen Fingerprint Sensor

By Tim

Tonight we have another great device, not in my price range, but certainly a glimpse of the future on smartphones. The Vivo X21 features some decent specs, has a large display a great aspect ratio and has something that is pretty bleeding edge!

That something is a fingerprint sensor that is actually embedded under the display. Yeah, no buttons! Is it perfect, not yet, but it works pretty darn good and that is enough to make me want to share this unboxing/mini-review of this device.

This one comes to us from Ben over in Hong Kong who gets all this stuff before we do and does a nice job. Make sure to check out his YouTube channel.

So let us proceed with haste to the video!

That is all for now,

Tim

Tonight’s First Video Worth Sharing: iPhone X, 6 Month Review

By Tim

As anyone who knows me can tell you, I am about 180 degrees out on liking iPhones. I think that everything that Apple makes is great tech, but so far overpriced that no one should buy it.

Yeah, that will offend the Apple fan-boys out there, and well, you need to STFU, because the review I am posting is rather positive.

So moving on, this one come to us from Andrew over at AMDTech and is worth watching if you are thinking about sinking a thousand bucks or more into a phone.

So let us get right to that video….enjoy Apple fans!

That is all for this evening so far,

Tim

Remember the Nuu Mobile G3? : Someone is giving one away! (video)

By Tim

Giveaway? Yeah!

The other day I mentioned my interest in the Guu Mobile smartphone and tonight while watching a few more videos I ran across a giveaway!

So I did a video, and nit-picked the reviewer a tiny bit, but the bottom line is that if you watch the video you will find out how to get in on the giveaway.

Overall, from what I am reading/watching so far this is a decent device at a great price, that just happens to also look good. Check my previous post for more details.

So without further introduction here is the video…

Of course Please Like the video and subscribe to the new channel here!

That is all I have for now,

Tim

I Have Been Looking Hard At New Smart Phones: The NUU Mobile G3 Is Looking Great!

By Tim

A few weeks ago I ran across my first video review of the NUU Mobile G3. It actually caught my attention! Sure, I love my ancient BLU Studio Energy 2 with it’s huge 5000 mAh battery, but it is getting near time to move on.

So for folks who follow me on Twitter ( @tl1000rzx2), you will see that I have been watching a ton of reviews on this device. 99% are pure positive and the rest simply have some nit-picks.

The bottom line is that this is a solid, 5.7 inch, 18:9, 720p IPS display phone that is equipped with some decent cameras. The processor is a Helio P25 there are additional features such as 4 GB Ram, 64 GB on-board storage, Android 7.1, microSD expansion capability up to 128 GB microSD and it actually looks pretty darn nice.

The price at $199 is also appealing and who knows, maybe I can talk someone out there into sending me one for a super long term test!

The company’s website for NUU is a bit confusing as they claim it is glass and ceramic back with a metal frame but some reviewers swear it is plastic, (although I do not care). Also the company website also mentions only WiFi b/g/n speeds, but at least 2 reviewers are claiming it has WiFi ac ( 5 GHz) .

I won’t be posting videos, just check my twitter account and you will find all the like videos I have watched so far. As usual, I tend to take a long, long time to pull the trigger, so who knows, in 2 weeks I might have a new favorite.

You can see a short list of videos I have watched at the link right here!

That is all I have at this time, except please click the Paypal Donate button and help me make up my mind, or send me one of these for a great long term test!
