Chuwi Lapbook SE 13.3 inch Laptop Launched With Intel Gemini Lake CPU; Now Up for Preorder at $270

By Radu Iorga

Chuwi debuted another interesting laptop today, dubbed Chuwi Lapbook SE and it’s not a half bad product. For the price of just $270, you get a Gemini Lake machine with a 13.3 inch screen. We have all the details below, but first of all you can preorder the device on Gearbest starting next week.

This is a thin, light and low power laptop that weighs just 3.2 pounds. It measures 0.6 inches in thickness and uses a 13.3 inch Full HD screen. Chuwi Lapbook SE has a backlit keyboard, four speakers and relies on an Intel Celeron N4100 quad core Gemini Lake processor. The notebook packs 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of eMMC storage and also a 128 GB SSD.

The price mentioned above, $270 only applies between August 13th and the 20th of the month. After that time period, the price will increase to $300. A good piece of news is that you can also add an extra higher capacity M.2 SSD if you want more storage.

Connectivity also hits the spot, with two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, as well as a HDMI and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There’s a microSD card slot in the mix here and dual microphones with support for Cortana. Video calls will be performed using a 2 megapixel webcam. The laptop relies on a 33.7 Wh battery, which Chuwi says will be enough for up to 8 hours of run time.

This notebook also provides 802.11 ac WiFi support and Bluetooth 4.0. Available just in Gray initially, the device runs Windows 10 and has Intel UHD Graphics 600.

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: USB C is Great Until You Need to Use a Full Size USB Device!

By Tim

As stated in the title I was in need of being able to connect 2 devices using full size USB connectors to my HiBook this week. As luck would have it I have somehow lost my USB to USB-C adapter!

USB-C might be the wave of the future, but it is damned useless if you have older keyboards, flash drives and dongles and if you are like me I am sure you didn’t run right out and switch everything to a USB-C device/cable/flash drive.

So I will let the video explain all the details and as usual, make sure to check out our channel, leave feedback in the comments section and also to like our videos and subscribe!

Below is the video as promised….

That is all for now, except please subscribe to our channel or click those big donation buttons on the website here!

Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing! Chuwi LapBook Air Finally At A Good Price!

By Tim

Chuwi LapBook Air

This is primarily a heads-up post to let folks know that the Chuwi Lapbook Air noteBook is finally down to a price most reviewers said it was worth!

It can now be found on Gearbest for the next 4-5 days at $350! That was the price many reviewers said it would be well worth it!

This device has a 14.1 inch full HD panel, and 8 GB RAM. It also sports a backlit keyboard and a microSD slot AND a hatch on the bottom to insert an M2 Sata 22.42 SSD drive!

There are plenty of other posts on this website concerning this but here below are the ones to read!

Here are a few other laptop notebook reviews that cover all of the ones I mentioned in the College Time Post.

Let us proceed on to the video, before Chuwi sells them all!

Tonight’s First Video Worth Sharing: The Chuwi Hi9 Air 10.1 Inch Tablet

By Tim

This short unboxing and review comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and covers the Hi9 Air which is supposedly a gaming tablet.

It has a great screen resolution, although not as bright as the mfg claims and it sports a decent 8000 mAh battery, but it does have its flaws.

As far as I am concerned, my HiBook is just as good as this device, but, I don’t play games, so that makes me rather biased. Hence the reason I am sharing this with you folks who do play games and are concerned with this info.

Chris is going to be the next reviewer I talk about on our new channel, because of his ability to engage the audience, nit-pick the living crap out of a device, whether it be a smartphone, tablet, notebook or a mini PC.

So without further into, let us proceed at once to that video! As always, make sure to subscribe to his YouTube channel!

Today’s Hi12 Report! This Thing Is Still Fantastic After More Than a Year!

By Tim

So today I decided it was time for another video for our new YouTube Channel on High End Cheap Tech. The video went well but it took more than 3 hours to process the video due to the idiot (me) operating the keyboard here.

But I finally got it done and here I am sharing it, although somehow about 4 hours of my day has gone into the toilet.  I won’t go into the issues, although a power failure killed the first edit on the Zotac PC. Yeah, we can’t plan for those now can we?

I also found a way to shoot nice steady screen shot video at 1080p using the worst phone mount ever created, but it did get the job done.

So all of that being said, there is one minor correction in the video and that is the voice over should mention that I use the Hi12 to EDIT, not shoot all the videos I do for work. The camera’s on most inexpensive tablets are horrible, the camera on my old BLU Studio Energy 2 is still quite good!

So let us get right to the video in question and as usual, please like it, please leave comments and please subscribe and share!

In a few minutes we will have another video worth sharing from Andrew over at AMDTech on the HP Envy X2 ,Win 10 on ARM 2 in 1 notebook.

That is all for the moment,

Tim
