Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Should You Buy The New iPhone And Other Tech Info!

By Tim

This one pretty much took all day to create, but I finally got it uploaded to our YouTube Channel.

This really has zero to do with buying the new iPhone, although I do give my reasons not to buy one before heading in to what is essentially a long term review of the Logitech K480 keyboard.

You will notice that I kept calling the keyboard a K427 and have no clue why, but I did throw up some overlay text telling you to ignore me, it is a K480.

So after 3 years this thing is still working, it is covered in dust and all sorts of crud from work and it is still worth every penny I paid for it.

So below you will find the video, please like it, please share it and please subscribe!

That is all for now, except please subscribe to our channel or click those big donation buttons on the website here!

Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Tim Rambles On About Stuff That Just Plain Works!

By Tim

Tonight we have a somewhat long video that adheres to my tradition of crappy videos, but offers up info that is actually useful, without the frills, nifty background  nor any real plugs for anything, except of course the HiBook site donations page.

This was all shot on what one would consider sub-standard equipment but if you watch you will get the point. You don’t need all the latest tech to get the job done!

I am not saying that the latest tech isn’t cool, but I simply try to remind folks that there are ways to cut your tech costs by not being sucked into the latest tech frenzy.

This was all shot in terrible lighting, on a BLU Studio Energy 2 phone that is what I use at work to shoot videos on all our cars  almost everyday. Obviously outdoor shooting is a huge advantage, but I have not yet yielded to the temptation to get a slightly larger phone with a better camera, because I simply love the 5000 mAh battery and AMOLED screen on this phone and, yeah, it just plain works.

So all that being said below is my latest crappy video!

That is all for now,

Tim

Dragon Touch Report, The Server is running great!

IMG_20160319_132307This post was originally posted on the Dragon Touch Tablet Server.

So this being a Saturday I am watching some sports, and having a great lunch. Today the DTX10 is at home being a web server. Why is that you might ask? Well today we are trying out the Asus Z580CA with the Logitech K480 keyboard.

That is the great thing about using a tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard versus buying one of those expensive tablet/keyboard combos that limit the keyboard to only one device. I can setup the K480 to connect to 3 different devices and change up my “LogiTab” easily from the Dragon Touch to this Asus in seconds.

Today’s report is being written on the Asus Zenpad S 8.0 (Z580CA) and it works flawlessly with this BT keyboard. Sure it is a bit smaller than the Dragon touch but more than adequate for the task at hand. The only downside to this setup is that I still need to purchase an adapter to go from USB C to regular USB so I can plug in my wireless mouse. But the keyboard has more than enough specialty keys to allow me to navigate without ever have to touch the screen.

So back to the Dragon Touch, as usual there is nothing much new to report, it is still working great and still has plenty of room left for any apps I ever need to install and the battery life is as always great!
