Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Ready for Debut, Apparently Certified in South Korea

By Radu Iorga

Samsung has a new Windows-powered Galaxy Book model coming and apparently that device has been certified in South Korea. Codenamed SM-W737N0, the device has been found as approved by the a regulatory agency, the RRA. The Galaxy Book 2 also previously leaked in Russia.

A few months ago the product was seen on Russia’s EEC portal, showing the first signs of a new laptop with Windows. Sadly, the RRA listing only pinpoints a LTE version, but it doesn’t also mean much else. We’re dealing with a 2 in 1 detachable here, that’s expected to come with multiple processor and storage versions, similar to the predecessor.

Considering the previous models and the Windows 10 Inking support, we also expect an S Pen to be bundled, or maybe some other new pen. Samsung had a busy time lately, launching Galaxy Tab S and Tab A models, but no new laptop. A new Galaxy Book would be welcome, especially since we’ve seen Acer and Lenovo launching a ton of laptops lately and Huawei even has a few solid ones as well.

The first gen Galaxy Book had a 10.6 inch and 12 inch screen version and some say that the successor will only come as a 12 incher, leaving behind the smaller diagonal. Samsung has been keeping a low profile with Windows so far, so that’s why things are still up in the air. Expect a big price, maybe above $1000.
